The Whitechapel Gallery is located in the heart of London’s East-End – one of the most diverse and creative quarters in the world. Locally embedded and globally connected, the Gallery, founded in 1901, enriches the cultural offer for the people of East London.
It’s historic building houses nine exhibition spaces, a fully equipped auditorium, a variety of study and studio spaces, as well as a specialist bookshop and acclaimed restaurant. And it’s easy to get to, just next door to Aldgate East Tube, or Aldgate and Whitechapel stations.
The Modern Cockney Kids Festival, follows a similar event at the Museum of London Docklands, part of the Modern Cockney Festival celebrating the culture, heritage, and future of the non-posh Londoner.
