Have you got Cockney ancestry in your blood? Want to find out about your Cockney
roots, the stories of your grandparents, great grandparents, and beyond?

Danny Dyer when he traced his family on TV discovered he was royalty. We may not
be able to promise that, but we do have an expert who can help guide your voyage
of discovery of your family roots, who they were, and how to piece together their
incredible stories and connections.

Create a greater understanding of who you are, who your people are, and enrich
your story of you, to deepen your backstory and give a greater sense of pride and
purpose about your life. And learn valuable tips of where to start, clever shortcuts,
how to avoid frustrating waste of time, and useful sources of help and guidance.

Join Patricia Sears, a member of the Register of Qualified Genealogists (RQG) who
practices what she teaches, having traced her Irish Cockney ancestors. She made a
special study of Queen Catherine Court, an East End slum where many of her
ancestors lived when they arrived in London in the 1840s and ‘50s. Her research
connected her to a relative, Julia Sullivan Scurr, a cousin of her grandad, who was
one of the Poplar councillors imprisoned over the Poplar rates rebellion.

Whether you are Old or New School Cockney, part of the Cockney Diaspora, or
Ancestral Cockney – connected to ‘non-posh Londoners’ by your ancestry, there is
much to uncover and learn from a fascinating and entertaining journey of discovery.
Wherever your ancestors are from, like Patricia’s from Ireland, or whatever part of
the globe, join us on St.Patrick’s Day at 1pm on Monday, March 17th and discover
your Cockney roots.
